We are selling major commercial Open Source based email server products. They are Scalix, Zimbra and Bynari. All these products provide groupware or collaboration suite and often called "Exchange Alternative".
These products come with extra costs depending on the features you are looking for. All of them will base their standard on Microsoft Exchange but provide more features. This mean you are not limited to using Microsoft Outlook as the mail client. You can use their AJAX based Webmail and your own Mobile device. Of course, it also support Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Apple Mail and all standard based email clients.
By using Open Source technology, these companies are able to provide you better values than proprietary option. For example, Open Source antivirus (ClamAV) and spam filtering engines (SpamAssassin) are integrated into their products.
